The Port and Terminal Multiservices Limited, PTML Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has thrown its weight behind the Customs Officers’ Wives Association, COWA, pledging full backing as *Hajiya Nabila Nura Miko* officially took charge as Chairperson of the PTML Chapter.

The colourful handover ceremony held Thursday at the Command was more than a leadership transition. It was a celebration of continuity, sacrifice, and the critical role Customs families play in national service.

Acting Controller of PTML Command, *Deputy Comptroller Nura Ibrahim Miko*, described the occasion as a reflection of COWA’s enduring values — service, unity, and welfare for Customs families.

He commended the outgoing Chairperson, *Mrs. Ifeoluwa Anani*, for her impactful tenure. Under her leadership, he noted, the chapter executed projects that uplifted members and strengthened bonds within the Customs community.

DC Miko emphasized that COWA’s contribution goes far beyond physical projects. Its most powerful impact, he said, is on the home front.

“While our officers are at the ports collecting revenue, facilitating trade, and fighting smuggling, our wives are the silent strength keeping our homes stable, peaceful, and productive. That stability is what fuels effective service delivery. For that, we remain deeply grateful,” he said.

The Acting Controller congratulated Hajiya Nabila Miko on her emergence, expressing strong confidence in her capacity to consolidate on past gains and elevate the chapter’s programmes.

He reassured COWA members that PTML Command will continue to treat the association as a strategic partner in officer welfare. The Command, he promised, will provide logistics, facilities, and moral support to ensure every COWA initiative succeeds.

DC Miko also acknowledged the national leadership of *Kikelomo Adeniyi*, COWA National President, for her efforts in repositioning chapters across the country and advancing the association’s welfare mandate.

In her valedictory remarks, Mrs. Ifeoluwa Anani thanked the Command’s management and COWA members for their cooperation. She said she was handing over with a sense of fulfillment and confidence that the new leadership would take the chapter higher.

She pledged her continued support and mentorship for Hajiya Nabila’s administration.

The ceremony wrapped up with prayers for wisdom, unity, and a fruitful tenure as the PTML Chapter of COWA begins a new phase under Hajiya Nabila Miko.
