All is set for the second edition of the JustNet Transport Summit as the Executive Director, Operations and Technical Services, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Capt. Warredi Enisuoh, has been confirmed as Chairman.
The summit, organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, is slated for Thursday, October 23, 2026, at Providence Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos, with the theme: _’Navigating Global Disruptions and the Road Ahead: Mobility, Energy and Trade Facilitation for a Resilient Future.’_
This year’s edition will bring together an array of industry heavyweights including former Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Dr. Richard Aisuebeogun, who will deliver the keynote address; Chief Executive Officer of CITA Energies, Dr. Thomas Ogungbangbe; and renowned transport geographer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Lagos, Dr. Femi Aiyegbajeje.
According to the organisers, the summit will convene policymakers, regulators, transport service providers, infrastructure developers, energy professionals, scholars and other critical stakeholders across aviation, maritime, road, rail, inland waterways, energy and logistics value chains to examine the far-reaching effects of global disruptions on Nigeria’s transport sector and proffer sustainable, home-grown solutions.
Capt. Enisuoh, widely referred to as the “Double Captain” on account of his distinguished career in both maritime and aviation, is expected to bring to bear his wealth of experience in security and critical national asset protection.
As the operations head of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, a frontline pipeline surveillance and energy infrastructure protection company, his perspective on safeguarding strategic national assets, guaranteeing energy security and ensuring the unhindered movement of people and goods will be central to discussions at a time when global supply chain disruptions and attacks on critical infrastructure continue to threaten trade and economic growth.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Aisuebeogun, a veteran aviation administrator and transport policy expert, is expected to dissect the structural challenges confronting Nigeria’s transport industry and chart a roadmap for resilience. His paper will dwell on infrastructure gaps, institutional governance, operational inefficiencies and the strategic place of aviation as a catalyst for trade facilitation and economic development.
Similarly, Dr. Ogungbangbe will approach the discourse from the energy prism, highlighting the implications of global oil market volatility, energy supply instability and the intricate link between reliable, affordable energy and efficient transport operations. He is expected to make a strong case for energy security as the engine room of a functional transportation system.
Dr. Aiyegbajeje, on his part, will provide an academic and technical depth to the conversation, focusing on mobility systems, integrated transport planning and the urgent need for a sustainable, rail-led, multimodal transport network capable of absorbing and adapting to global shocks.
Speaking on the summit, Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, said the forum was deliberately conceived as a high-impact, solution-driven platform to interrogate emerging challenges and build consensus on practical reforms for a more resilient transport ecosystem.
She noted that the 2026 theme reflects the growing interconnectedness of transport, energy and global trade, where disruption in one sector reverberates across the entire value chain.
“For Nigeria, the conversation goes beyond building infrastructure. It is about integrating road, rail, aviation, maritime and inland waterways into a single efficient system, protecting critical assets, ensuring energy sufficiency, facilitating trade and creating policies that unlock private capital and drive service excellence,” Ngwama said.
She added that the summit seeks to generate robust, actionable recommendations that will help reposition Nigeria’s transport sector as efficient, sustainable and future-ready.
The organisers recalled that the maiden edition held in 2025 provided a veritable platform for stakeholders to ventilate critical industry concerns. The second edition, they assured, will raise the bar by expanding discourse on emerging trends, regulatory and policy hurdles, funding and investment windows, technology adoption and innovative approaches to boosting the sector’s contribution to national GDP.
