The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has just confirmed that Dangote Refinery has achieved a major milestone, exporting over 500,000 tonnes of petroleum products to other African countries in March 2026. This incredible feat solidifies Nigeria’s position as a key energy player in the region. The NPA’s expertise and dedication played a pivotal role in making this happen, showcasing the country’s growing capabilities in the energy sector.

Dr Abubakar Dantsoho, theDirector, recently highlighted Nigeria’s resilience in the face of global challenges at a stakeholders’ engagement in Lagos Despite the ongoing Middle East conflict disrupting global petroleum supply chains, Dr Dantsoho emphasized that Nigeria remains steadfast, ensuring a steady supply of petroleum products for both domestic consumption and export. This remarkable feat showcases the country’s growing prowess as a reliable energy hub . The NPA, under Dr Dantsoho’s leadership, continues to play a pivotal role in driving Nigeria energy sector forward.

The NPA success story just got a lot more interesting Dr Abubakar Dantsoho credited the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) policy, championed by Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Dr Adegboyega Oyetola, for streamlining operations at the Dangote Refinery. This policy ensures all stakeholders are singing from the same hymn sheet, fostering collaboration and efficiency. By getting everyone on the same page, the OSS has been a game-changer for Nigeria’s energy sector, driving growth and development.
