Oil community, stakeholders, felicitate their village head

The village head of Mkpanak community in Ibeno, Obong (Sir) Bassey Ndem, has been celebrated at a Thanksgiving Mass on his ascendance to the throne of his forefathers on Sunday. An eminent son and indigene of the area, Chief Charles Ukoette has joined other well wishers from around the globe to felicitate the monarch on the auspicious occasion.
In a message of goodwill extended to the traditional father, Ukoette, who expressed his warm and best wishes to the new monarch, has said he particularly identifies with the traditional father for being a man of vision, a lover of peace and admirably a great builder, possessing the right mix of astuteness of character, great capacity  and a depth of required wisdom to rule over his people and dispose a great, dynamic and harmonious society.
Describing Obong Idung Bassey Ndem  as a man of good principle and character, who has been highly favoured by God to give Mkpanak community the desired  traditional leadership, Ukoette said the onerous opportunity should be used to inspire and guide the community into realising her full potentials as an oil bearing community in the scheme of meeting the global yardstick of measuring her growth and commensurate economic development.
The prominent Ibeno indigene and respected statesman has therefore, urged on the traditional father to leverage on his royal stool and use its ascendancy as a means to impact justice, foster unity, ensure harmonious relationships  among his subjects and usher in an era peace and the cooperation of everyone to uplift Mkpanak community to attaining a significant socio- cultural and economic advancement of the town and her people.
He has prayed God to use the reign of the new monarch to renew hope in the people, bolster growth, and make it a period to resonate with peace and prosperity for the land.
Ukoette, who wishes ObongIdung Bassey Ndem a beautiful and peaceful reign on the throne, has also asked God to direct the vision and footsteps of the monarch, grant him good health, many years of life and strength, and the wisdom to impact the throne adequately for the benefit of humanity.
