Customs Zone A: Adeyanju Retires, Okun Takes Over

Zone’A’Headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service witnessed a change of leadership as ACG Adeyanju Aremu retire from service and handed over to ACG Festus Okun.

While briefing officers and men of the Nigerian Customs Service in the presence of newsmen the outgoing Coordinator of the Unit expressed gratitude to the Customs management under the auspices of Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd) for the belief he has in her all through her stay in office as the Coordinator of Zone ‘A’
She reminded the officers and men of the significance of the Unit and charged them to remain committed, hard-working, and cooperate with the incoming Zonal Coordinator to enable him to record success.

She underlined the giant steps of the zone in the area of Revenue and anti-smuggling expressing confidence in the capacity and competence of the new Zonal Coordinator to taking the zone to the next level.

While appreciating the principal officers in the zone, she advised them to ensure that the new Zonal Coordinator is given necessary support in all ramifications.

In his response, the new Zonal Coordinator, ACG Festus Oyedele Okun, commended his predecessor for the laudable standard which Zone ‘A’ has attained under her regime with a promise to bring his wealth of experience to the fore in setting new standard in the Zone to foster continuity.

He concluded his address by wishing the retiring ACG great success ahead.
