Ohuabunwa leads stakeholders on solving the Apapa gridlock riddle at MAJAN summit

The President, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria will lead eminent Nigerians and maritime stakeholders in preferring solutions to the perennial Apapa traffic gridlock.

Ohuabunwa, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, would be presenting the lead paper on “The Travails of Manufacturers through Apapa Port” at the Maritime Summit slated for April 14-15, 2021 at the Rockview Hotel, Apapa.

In a statement released early Monday morning by the Editor-in-Chief of the Powerful Pen Media, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu, the summit will attempt to find creative solutions to the gridlock in the face of a unique and challenging problem to the maritime industry.

Ray Ugochukwu, who doubles as the President of Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) has appealed to Industry stakeholders and all Port users to accord maximum support towards the hosting of the event.

The Summit was earlier slated for March 25-26 but had to be rescheduled to April 14-15, 2021, to accommodate all stakeholders.

The Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, leads eminent Nigerians expected to grace the occasion.

Also, the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi ; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

Industry experts include the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman, the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency, Dr. Bashir Jamoh; Director General, Standards Organization of Nigeria, Mallam Farouk A. Salim, the Managing Director of LADOL, Dr. Amy Jadesimi, the Managing Director NIWA, Dr. George Moghalu and the President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Adewale Adeyanju.

The Summit is expected to take off promptly at 10 am .
