The Acting Customs Area Controller of Ogun I Area Command, DC O.O. Afeni, has extended warm and heartfelt felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, He urges Nigerians to embrace sustained unity, vigilance, and commitment to national security as we celebrate this significant milestone.
In a goodwill message on behalf of Ogun I Area Command and the Joint Border Security Committee, Afeni congratulated Muslims on completing the holy month of Ramadan, describing it as a period of profound spiritual growth, self-reflection, and renewal. He emphasized that Eid-el-Fitr reminds us of the core Islamic values of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and generosity.
“As we celebrate, let’s sustain peace, unity, and brotherly love,” Afeni said, stressing these principles are vital for Nigeria’s progress. He highlighted the importance of safeguarding our borders, preventing arms smuggling, and maintaining security through collective efforts.
Afeni also called for strengthened collaboration among stakeholders, promoting excellence, mutual respect, and professional growth. He wished Muslims a joyous Eid, good health, and renewed strength, urging citizens to contribute to national development. “May this Eid bring you and your families abundant joy and renewed strength to serve our great nation,” he added, concluding with “Barka da Sallah”.
