The leader of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor Evelyn Joshua, has charged Brazilians not to interpret God’s silence during their difficult moments as rejection, assuring them that God’s promises over their lives remain sure and unchanging.
Pastor Evelyn Joshua gave the charge on the second day of the highly attended SCOAN Crusade in São Paulo, Brazil, where thousands of worshippers gathered in an atmosphere of prayer, faith and high expectation.
Centering her message on the unfailing promises of God, the SCOAN leader urged the congregation to hold firmly to faith, truth, love and obedience, no matter their present circumstances.
“Every good thing of life you see today was created by your Heavenly Father. If it is sinful for you to have them, God will not create them and promise that you may have them. God promises that you will be physically healed, fulfilled and happy,” she declared, citing Ecclesiastes 10:10 while encouraging the people to embrace wisdom and contentment.
Speaking directly to those who feel forgotten and weighed down because their prayers seem unanswered, Pastor Evelyn Joshua offered words of comfort and hope.
“Christ never rejects anyone who turns to Him again. Nothing can separate you from the love of God. Whatever your situation may look like, do not misinterpret God’s silence for rejection,” she said.
Drawing faith from the biblical account of the woman with the issue of blood, she prophesied:
“The God that removed the garment of shame, sickness and affliction from the woman with the issue of blood, He will remove your shame and sickness, in Jesus’ name. You will receive the wind of glory!”
She explained that receiving from God requires obedience to His Word, walking in love and truth, and maintaining a personal relationship with Him. She urged the people to love God and their neighbours, embrace truth, and ask for their needs in the name of Jesus Christ while remaining committed to their faith.
Reading from Numbers 23:19-20, Pastor Joshua emphasized the certainty of God’s promises, noting that no matter how many promises God has made, whatever He has decreed must surely come to pass.
“Whatever God has decreed will always come to pass, no matter how many promises He has made. God Almighty is with you. He has given all of us the grace to be an effective witness for Him,” she said, calling on the crowd to rejoice over the blowing of the “winds of glory.”
The SCOAN leader also challenged worshippers to change their confession, warning them against speaking the language of their old life of sickness, weakness and limitation.
“God’s Word is a balm to our spiritual being. Jesus Christ has conquered all, having broken every chain over our lives. Stop talking at the level of your old life of weakness, illness, limitation; learn to speak the good language, for the word you speak dominates you,” she admonished.
Citing Psalm 101:6, she urged the congregation to remain committed to God, explaining that those who have devoted themselves to Him and are being used by God are not superhuman, but men and women who have shown total belief and faith in God.
“They are not superhuman but were committed, showing total belief and faith in God. That same God will work with you today,” she assured.
The climax of the second day was the double honour bestowed on Pastor Evelyn Joshua for her immense contributions to global evangelism and humanitarian service.
She was honoured with two prestigious awards presented by the Church and the Government of the State of São Paulo. The awards were presented by Hon. Bruno Zambelli, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, and Pastor Willy Acosta.
A visibly elated Pastor Evelyn Joshua expressed deep appreciation to the people and government of Brazil for the recognition and honour.
