Court Gives NNPP BoT Nod To Control Party Affairs

By Okezie Nnadi

The Abia State High Court has affirmed the request Of Majority of NNPP members to hand the control of Party to the Board of Trustees.

This ruling gives impetus to the written request of members of the BoT led by the founder for INEC To entrust running of the Party to the Board pending the resolution of all the numerous Court Cases pending in different Courts all over the federation. The Prayer was taken to Court after INEC had failed to entertain this request.

However, Abia State High Court after listening to the prayers, handed the Board of Trustees of the Party full control of running the affairs of the Party calming fraying nerves.

The situation which was almost getting out of hands even with the supervision and alleged complicity of the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC is now being measured with some level of sanity.

Briefing the press yesterday at the Nagaff Village Apapa Lagos, the Founder asserted that the Court judgement is definitive and has directed the INEC to hand over the running of the Party the BoT led by the Founder, Dr Boniface Aniebonam.

Dr Aniebonam confirmed that aside from the INEC, no other person, including Kwankwaso and his co-travelers have the loco standi to appeal this judgement which cannot also be vacated.

What this judgement portends is that the owners of the Party are now firmly in charge and will run the affairs of the Party henceforth as directed by the High Court.

He also noted that should INEC keep mum over the Court directive, then the BoT would be forced to send a presentation of their documents in readiness to be handed control of the Party to INEC drawing from the benefit of hindsight.

The members of the BoT who are arriving from all over the federation are scheduled to meet on the 8 of November in Lagos, to decide the way forward and the next line of action as majority would have it.

The NNPP Found also revealed that he has personally spent over N800m in different litigations since this fight for the soul of the Party ensued, stating that he is not one that looks back when leaning on the right side of the Law. He once more said that Kwankwaso has acted in bad fate deceived by unemployed charlatans.
